Quoddy’s Run has been in the shed in Canoe Cove all winter, undergoing extensive repairs to her decks, which now look brand new. New port lights, new hatches, new stanchions, new mast collar and various subtle bits of new rigging to go with the new sails we got last year. A new mortgage too, to pay for it all, but hey, you only live once, and we figure Quoddy’s Run is just about–even with all of that–the cheapest waterfront real estate anyone can imagine in BC.

We wanted the boat to be tough and dry for our trip to Alaska. And then after that, for when we cross the Pacific.
Will we make it to Alaska this year? Or will we be waylaid by other interesting sights and adventures?
We’ll report it all here!
